The Platform can only be utilized in conjunction with legitimate hiring practices in the local government sector. It is strictly forbidden to misuse the service. Users are not allowed to: Post fraudulent or false job ads;
Apply for jobs for which you are not legally qualified;
upload content that is unlawful, discriminatory, or offensive;
Use the Platform to engage in spamming or commercial solicitation;
act in a way that compromises, taints, or tampers with the service's security or functionality; or
Any use of the Platform that violates state or Commonwealth law is prohibited.
If these rules are broken, Local Government Jobs has the right to remove offensive content, suspend, restrict, or terminate access, and take other appropriate action.
Employers are solely responsible for the appropriateness, legality, and correctness of job postings. Jobs with the local government: does not confirm the qualifications or statements stated in each posting;
offers no assurance regarding the correctness of the pay, responsibilities, benefits, or terms of employment;
is not a party to any employment agreement between the candidate and the council; and
assumes no responsibility for choices based on postings.
Employers are reminded of their responsibilities under state and Commonwealth laws pertaining to workplace health and safety, nondiscrimination, and fair employment.
We take the protection of personal data very seriously. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other relevant laws are adhered to by Local Government Jobs.
